The journey of Shah Tours has been like a trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro. Since 1984, we have taken the necessary steps throughout the years to reach a larger goal that has earned us a reputation for being one of the most experienced and reliable registered tour operators in Tanzania. Nevertheless we know that the journey does not end at the top of the mountain, you have to make your way back down! Therefore we will continue to provide the topmost services to ensure that our clients have a remarkable time experiencing this beautiful country. It is our aim to assist those from around the world to create and achieve their lifelong dreams of climbing to Uhuru peak, or to watch the herds of thousands migrating the vast planes of Serengeti and much more – a time that will be remembered for life.
We look forward to having you travel with us.
Shah Tours & Travels Ltd established in 1984, makes it one of the oldest renowned and most experienced registered tour companies/ground operators specialising in adventure holidays around Tanzania, predominantly operating mountain treks, organising wildlife safari tours, beach holidays and more – something for everyone! With over 28 years of experience, we do our finest to accommodate and give personal attention to all our clients from around the world. It is important for us to ensure that our clients have the most enjoyable and successful experience in Tanzania!
The company office is ideally located in Moshi town, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro along with its own base hotel “Mountain Inn”.
We organise personalised holidays and tours with individual and combination packages (trekking, wildlife safaris, beach holidays and others), offering set itineraries or alternatively we work alongside our customers to help them create a personalised programme – one to suit individual and group needs. A full briefing is conducted between a trained member of staff and the clients following their arrival, to reassure them on the itinerary and answer any questions and clear any uncertainties. Furthermore providing guidelines and services to aid climbers acclimatise and ensuring that each client is fully equipped before starting their journey.
Experienced and knowledgeable staff
We are very fortunate to have a team of friendly, long serving, trained staff, as the success of our tours is largely dependent on the experience and knowledge that they have acquired, including the mountain guides (most which have been with us for over 10 years) & porters, safari drivers/guides, camping personnel, hotel staff and many others that follow the example set by the Managing Director Harshit Shah also more commonly known around the world as ‘Mr. Kilimanjaro’. With years of experience, the guides do a brilliant job of assisting you to Africa’s highest point, taking great care of each individual and acknowledging their abilities and needs. The drivers/guides assisting clients on wildlife safaris have an excellent eye for spotting game and all guides are filled with stories and information to make your journey a pleasant one
Shah Tours have a fleet of vehicles, including Land Cruisers, 4X4 five-seat and extended seven-seat vehicles (equipped with viewing roofs) ideal for safari game viewing, and comfortable for long journeys, along with other forms of transportation including buses, Minibuses and a pick-up truck for supplies.
Itineraries planned by Shah Tours include accommodation at Mountain Inn hotel (unless specified otherwise) providing a range of services which are ideal for an overnight stay before and after the client’s tour.
