Wildlife and safaris in Tanzania

With some of the worlds’ most famous and iconic safari parks, Tanzania is usually rated the best safari destination in the world. A first time safari can take you into famous 'Discovery channel' destinations such as the Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, Manyara and Tarangire parks in the Northern circuit where the experience and accommodation are well established suiting any traveller from budget to luxury and highly customisable to suit your travel plan.

We have been taking visitors to the wild since 1986 in our specially modified 4x4 vehicles with a pop roof and a experienced team of quality safari-guides who will make your adventure special. An African safari usually consists of long drives between large National Parks (some larger than countries) and 'game drives' where you explore the parks with the hopes of spotting animals in their natural surroundings at various times of the day. Spectacular scenery and an abundance of wildlife accross all circuits, almost the whole year make this an unforgettable memory.

Those who are hungry for more or looking for off the beaten track experiences can visit the wild Southern circuit with Africa's largest, Nyerere National Park and Ruaha National Park offering wildlife viewing in one of it's most natural forms all with a much smaller quantity of tourist traffic and an abundance of wild animals.

Climb Kilimanjaro

A journey to Mount Kilimanjaro is an exploration, not merely a climb. For some the appeal is simple: it is the highest mountain on earth whose summit is accessible to any committed walker without advanced skills, technical experience or special equipment. A well-prepared city-dweller may be able to reach 'the roof of Africa'. This is the allure of the highest free-standing mountain in the world and what is said to be the easiest of the ‘7 summits’; the highest mountains on each of the seven continents.

Each walker faces a personal gamble, and the stakes are high: altitude symptoms are unpredictable. No amount of preparation can guarantee success. The only certainty is that everyone who takes up the challenge will reach deep down inside themselves during the ascent. Reaching the summit is not the only goal: success lies rather in the quality of the attempt. Living a lot closer to nature than you are used to, you will explore your own motivation and recognise your dependency on others. On return from Kilimanjaro, whether you 'succeed' or not, you will know more about yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, and your fellow humans, than when you set out.

For anyone interested in the natural world, exploring this mountain is fascinating. In a landscape formed by ice and fire, the ascent takes you from tropical rain forest to arctic conditions among the summit glaciers - contrasts that at sea level would be six thousand miles apart. On Kilimanjaro, you can walk from equator to arctic in four days.

The mountain rises over three miles above the plain on which it stands, making it an outstanding landmark. Your journey to Kilimanjaro may become an unforgettable personal landmark in your life.

Mount Meru

The second highest mountain in Tanzania at 4566 meters (14,980 feet) is excellent for an acclimatisation / training trek for Kilimanajro or a great standalone trek. Although the altitude is lower than Kili, this mountain can be a more difficult ascent compared to the Marangu and Rongai routes.
